Marcella Aris - Sports Intern (Prep School)



ARU Cambridge graduate in Sports Coaching and Physical Education, Marcella brings with her a wealth of experience in coaching and teaching within swimming.

As a former UEA City of Norwich & St Felix School swimmer, Marcella specialised in the distance events, winning National junior & youth medals in the 400m, 800m &1500m events. Having swam for GB in open water, Marcella turned to coaching and teaching within the pool. In 2013 she was selected by the ASA to attend the National Young Coaches Academy, from there on she has been teaching and coaching many different stages of swimming within the East Region from ‘learn to swim’ to national level. Gaining a lot of her coaching skills Marcella worked in Mallorca at the BEST Centre for summer seasons, where she watched and coached alongside Olympic coaches from across the world. Marcella strives on ensuring that there is an excellent athlete coach relationship with all her swimmers and that technique is held to a high level throughout every session.

Watching Rebecca Adlington win 400m & 800m gold medals in the 2008 Beijing Olympics in my specialist events, inspiring!
